Tyler’s final Islip Musicals bow

Updated: Apr 4, 2022

After growing up on the Islip High School stage, Tyler takes her final bow. Tyler’s first theatre experience was in Islip back when she was just Seven years old, since then Tyler returned to Islip Booster Club’s Musical Theatre Summer Camp from 2011-2017 then continued until 2020 as a counselor for the camp. After starting theatre camp in 2011, she performed regularly in local educational theatre productions growing up. Throughout her time in the Islip School District Tyler had the chance to play many roles that were critical to her development as a young performer including The Sound of Music (Brigitta VonTrapp), Willy Wonka Jr. (Willy Wonka/ The Candyman), Legally Blonde (Enid Hoopes), Not So Grimm Tales (Snow White), The Little Mermaid (Ursula), Grease (Sandy Dombrowski), and Mamma Mia (Donna Sheridan). Unfortunately, Tyler’s performances in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat (Narrator) and Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey) were cancelled do to Covid, but she still prevailed her senior year—completing over ten college auditions and committing to AMDA as a Musical Theatre Conservatory Major, virtually attending NAfME’s All-Eastern Mixed Choir, making her mainstage debut, advocating for district wide performing arts during the pandemic, and more. Enjoy Tyler’s final performance which she dedicated to Dr. Harris who she has considered her mentor for the past 11 years.
